RESOLUTION NO. 2509 <br /> AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2240 AND AMENDMENTS <br /> THERETO (No. 2280) <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton as follows: <br /> 1. That Rule XI, Section 2 of Resolution No. 2280 is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> Section 2. Amount of Annual Leave. Eligible employees with over one <br /> year of continuous service shall normally be entitled to two weeks of vacation <br /> and those with over ten years continuous service to three weeks. Fractional <br /> earnings dial be computed at the rate of 5/6 working days per month worked up <br /> to NINE years of service and 1 1/4 days for service beyond NINE years. HOW- <br /> EVER, THE FRACTIONAL EARNINGS OF 1 1/4 DAYS PER MONTH DURING THE <br /> NINTH YEAR ARE NOT FULLY EARNED UNTIL THE EMPLOYEES' TENTH <br /> ANNIVERSARY. SHOULD AN EMPLOYEE TERMINATE DURING THE NINTH <br /> YEAR, HIS VACATION EARNINGS SHALL BE COMPUTED AT 5/6 DAY PER <br /> MONTH. ON HIS TENTH ANNIVERSARY DAY, AN EMPLOYEE IS ELIGIBLE <br /> FOR A THREE WEEKS.VACATION. Eligible employees who work less than full <br /> time shall earn vacation credits on a pro-rated basis. <br /> 2. That Rule XI, Section 3 of Resolution No. 2280 is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> Section 3. Use of Annual Leave. Each eligible employee shall be re- <br /> quired to have served the equivalent of one year of continuous service in the city <br /> in order to be eligible for his first full annual vacation leave; provided, however, <br /> that after six months of continuous service he may be permitted to take vacation <br /> leave not to exceed 5 working days. THE EMPLOYEE IS ELIGIBLE FOR TWO <br /> WEEKS VACATION IMMEDIATELY AFTER HIS FIRST ANNIVERSARY DATE. <br />
