` a
3. That Rule XI, Section 4 of Resolution No. 2280 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 4. Scheduling Annual Leave. An employee's vacation may
be taken any time during the calendar year (the year beginning in January).
The specific time shall be determined by the Department Head with due
regard for the wishes of the employee and particular regard for the needs
of the service. Specifically, this means that after one full year in service
an employee may be granted his vacation prior to his anniversary date.
The three weeks vacation may be scheduled any time following ten years
of service. If the requirements of the service are such that an employee
must defer part or all of his annual vacation in a particular calendar year,
the appointing authority may permit the employee to take such deferred
vacation during the following calendar year.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of November,
1964.
JOHN M. COLTRIN
Mayor
ATTEST:
ELIZABETH DAVIS
City Clerk
