1 RESOLUTION NO^ 2428 <br /> 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A GENERAL <br /> 3 NEIGHBORHOOD RENEWAL PLAN <br /> 4 <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Title I of the Housing Act of <br /> 5 <br /> 1949, as amended, the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton (herein <br /> 6 <br /> called the "Local Public Agency") has entered into a contract, designated <br /> 7 <br /> Contract No„ Calif. R-72 (GN) (A) with the Federal Government pursuant <br /> 8 <br /> to which the Government has made available to the Local Public Agency <br /> 9 <br /> financial assistance for the preparation of a General Neighborhood Renewal <br /> 10 <br /> Plan in the City of Colton, State of California (herein called the "Locality"); <br /> 11 <br /> and <br /> 12 <br /> WHEREAS, the Local Public Agency proposes to undertake with Fed-. <br /> 13 <br /> eral financial assistance one or more redevelopment projects in the General <br /> 14 <br /> Neighborhood Renewal Plan area; and <br /> 15 <br /> WHEREAS, there has been prepared and referred to the City Council <br /> 16 <br /> of the City of Colton (herein called the "Governing Body") for review and <br /> 17 <br /> approval a General Neighborhood Renewal Plan dated October, 1963, entitled <br /> 18 <br /> 19 "Downtown Redevelopment Area General Neighborhood Renewal Plan <br /> Project Calif, Rti72 (GN)," and consisting of 51 pages and 12 exhibits; and <br /> 20 <br /> 21 WHEREAS, said General Neighborhood Renewal Plan has been <br /> 22 approved by the governing body of the Local Public Agency, as evidenced by <br /> 23 the copy of said body's duly certified resolution approving said General <br /> 24 Neighborhood Renewal Plan which as attached thereto; and <br /> 25 WHEREAS, there have also been presented to the Governing Bode <br /> 26 certain supplementary data, including data respecting estimated grant-in-aid <br /> 27 requirements, relocation requirements and resources, and governmental actio s <br /> 28 required to carry out said General Neighborhood Renewal Plan; and <br /> 29 WHEREAS, a general plan is in existence and is recognized and used <br /> 30 as a guide for the general development of the Locality as a whole; and,, also, <br /> 31 there has been presented to the Housing and home Finance Administrator, and <br /> 32 said Administrator has approved, a Program for Community Improvement <br /> (Workable Program) for the community; and <br />
