Resolution No. 2428 - Approving a General Neighborhood Renewal Plan

1 1 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission which is the duly designated and 2 acting official planning body for the Locality, has reported to the Governing 3 Body respecting the conformity of said General Neighborhood Renewal Plan 4 to the general plan for the Locality as a whole: 5 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City I 5 of Colton as follows: 7 1, That the General Neighborhood Renewal Plan for the following 8 area: 9 Beginning at the intersection of the north line of "H" Street with the center line of the Pacific Electric Railroad; thence proceed- 10 ! ing southerly along the center line of the Pacific Electric Rail road to its intersection with the south line of "I" Street; thence 11 westerly along the south line of "I" Street to its intersection with 12 the west property line of the Pacific Electric Railroad; thence proceeding southerly along the west property line of the Pacific 13 Electric Railroad to its intersection with the north line of the San Bernardino Freeway (U.S. 70, 99 and Interstate 10); thence 14 westerly along the north line of the said San Bernardino Freeway to its intersection with the east line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad tracks;thence northerly along the east line of 15 the said Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe tracks to its intersection 16`I with the north line of "H" Street; thence easterly along the north II line of "H" Street to its intersection with the center line Qf the 1711 Pacific Electric Railroad, which is the point of beginning, 18 having been duly reviewed and considered, is hereby approved.; that it is 19 ! determined to be adequate as an outline of the redevelopment activities pro- 20 posed for the area involved, as a framework for the preparation of redevelop- 21 ment plans, and as an indication generally, to the extent feasible in prelimin- 22 ary planning, of land uses, population density,, building coverage, prospective 23 requirements for the conservation and rehabilitation of property and any por- 24 tions of the area contemplated for clearance and redevelopment; and that the 25; City Clerk be and is hereby directed to file said copy of the General Neighbox•- 26 hood Renewal Plan with the minutes of this meeting. 27 2., That it is hereby found and determined that said General Neighbor- 281 hood Renewal Plan conforms to the general plan of the Locality and to the II 29 i Program for Community improvement. 30 3, That it is the intention of this Body that the General Neighborhood 31 Renewal Plan be used to the fullest extent feasible as a guide for the provis- 32 ion of public improvements in such area, and that said Plan will be considered
