1 6. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed <br /> 2 to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be <br /> 3 mailed to each person to whom land within the territory <br /> 4 proposed to be annexed is assessed in the last equalized county <br /> 5 assessment roll available on the date the above said proceedings <br /> 6 were initiated, at the addresses shown on said assessment roll <br /> 7 or known to the Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name <br /> 8 and address and the designation of the lands in which he has <br /> 9 <br /> an interest, either legal or equir:able, with the Clerk, such <br /> 101 notice to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the <br /> 11 first public hearing on the proposed annexation. <br /> 12 7 . In the event any land within the territory proposed <br /> 13 to be annexed is owned by a county, the City Clerk is directed <br /> 14 to cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be <br /> 15 mailed to the Board of Supervisors of the county, such notice <br /> 16 to be given not less than twenty (20) days before the first <br /> 17 public hearing on the proposed annexation. <br /> 18 8. In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be <br /> 19 annexed, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or <br /> 20 leased by a county fire protection district, the said Clerk is <br /> 21 <br /> directed to cause written notice to such proposed annexation <br /> 22 to be mailed to the governing body of such district, such <br /> 23 notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the <br /> 24 first public hearing upon such proposed annexation. <br /> 25 9. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to <br /> 26 be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled <br /> 27 thereto, in the manner required by law. <br /> 28 ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1964 by the <br /> 29 <br /> following vote: <br /> 30 AYES: Councilmen Coltrin, Kaney, Holtzendorff, Spragins <br /> 31 <br /> NOES: Councilmen None <br /> 32 ABSENT: Councilman Oliva <br /> . -� - _ . <br />
