ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF COLTON OF 3 UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HERE- IN AND DESIGNATED "WEST COLTON ANNEXA- 4 TION NO. 21" AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS 5 THERETO„ 6 i BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON& 7 SECTION 1, That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of 8 Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 (Special procedure under Section 35310.1 9 Government Code) a petition signed by the owners of all the land in the herein- 10 after described territory was filed with the City of Colton requesting annexation 11 of the following described territory to the City of Colton. 12 SECTION 2„ That the Territory which the petitioner is proposing to 13 annex to the City of Colton is situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of 14 California, hereby designated "West Colton Annexation No, 21" and described 15 as follows: 16 That portion of Government Lot 8 and the Northeast 1/4 of Section 18, Township 1 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino 17 Base and Meridian, in the County of San Bernardino, accord- ing to the official plat of said land filed in the District Land 18 Office, August 21, 1876, described as follows: 19 Commencing at the Centerline Intersection of Mill Street and Rancho Avenue, said corner being also on the corporate limits 20 of the City of Colton; thence Southwesterly along the centerline of Rancho Avenue, also being the City Limits of the City of 21 Colton, a distance of 1,67. 5 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing Southwesterly along said center line of Rancho 22 Avenue a distance of 499 feet; thence South 89° 58r 09" West to the corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino; thence North 23 along said corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino to the South right of way line of Mill Street, also known as Merrill 24 Avenue; thence Easterly, Southerly and Easterly along said corporate limits of the City of San Bernardino to a point on 25 the Center line of Rancho Avenue, said point being the True Point of Beginning. 26 SECTION 3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Bernardino 27 County, California did in session duly assembled on July 9, 1964 consider the 28 proposed annexation boundaries of said "West Colton Annexation No. 21" as 29. above described, and as submitted to said Commission by the proponents or 30 said annexation and that the Local Agency Formation Commission of San 31 Bernardino County, California did in session duly assembled on August 12, 1964 32
