1 approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said "West Colton Annexation 2 No, 21", 3 SECTION 4, That August 26, 1964 at the hour of 5:00 p,m, in the 4 Council Chambers in the Civic Center, 650 North 8th Street in the City of 5 Colton is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where Council will hear 6 protests of owners of property within the City who do not own property in 7 territory sought to be annexed, 8 SECTION 5,. The City Clerk of the City of Colton is hereby authorized 9 and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once in 10 the Colton Daily Courier a newspaper of general circulation published in said 11 City of Colton, the City to which it is proposed to annex the aforesaid territory, 12 said publication to be complete at least 4 days prior to the date set for hearing. 13 SECTION 6, In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be annexe., 14 to said City, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a 15 county fire protection district, the City Clerk is directed to cause written 16 notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the governing body of such 17 district, such notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the first public 18 hearing upon such proposed annexation, 19 SECTION 7, The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be 20 given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto in the manner 21 required by law, 22 ADOPTED this 18th day of August, 1964 by the following vote: 23 AYES: Councilmen Coltrin Kaney, Holtzendorff, Spragins 24 NOES: Councilmen None 25 ABSENT: Councilman Oliva 26 ,F cr_..,r_�-t,.-J 27 City Clerk SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of August, 1964. 28 29. or 30 31 32
