after the date of recordation of the warrant. Said serial bonds shall <br /> extend over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day of January <br /> next succeeding the next September 1st following their date. Said bonds <br /> are to he issued pursuant to and as provided in the Improvement Act of <br /> 1911, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Calif- <br /> ornia and amendments thereto. Said bonds shall have redemption provisions <br /> for a premium of five per cent (55) of the unpaid principal pursuant to <br /> Section 61464 of the Streets and Highways Code. <br /> Section 5. That the proposed work is to be done under and <br /> proceedings therefor are to be under and pursuant to the said Improve- <br /> 1 <br /> I <br /> ment Act of 1911 and amendments thereto. <br /> Section 6. That the owners of more than sixty (60) per cent <br /> in area of the property subject to assessment for said proposed work have <br /> signed and filed with the City Clerk a written petition for said work, <br /> with waiver of the "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and <br /> Majority Protest Act of 1931" . <br /> Section 7. That in the opinion of the City Council the public <br /> interest will not be served by allowing the property owners to take the <br /> contract. The contract will be awarded, if awarded, to the lowest <br /> responsible bidder at the prices named in his bid. <br /> Section 8. That notice is hereby given that the 16th day of <br /> June, 1961.E , at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M., are the day and <br /> hour when, and the Council Chambers of this City Council in the City Hall <br /> in said City of Colton is the place where, any and all persons having any <br /> protest or objection to said proposed work or to the extent of said assess- <br /> ment district, or to the proposed grades, may appear before the City <br /> Council of said City of Colton and show cause why said proposed work <br /> should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution of inten- <br /> tion.
