1 RESOLUTION NO,, 255 6 2 RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF 3, THE CITY OF COLTON TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED 4 HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "SOUTH COLTON ANNEXATION NO, 15" AND GIVING NOTICE OF 5 THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION. 6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: 7 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited 8 Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been initiated by the Council of the 9 City of Colton, on its own motion, to annex to the City of Colton all that unin- 10 habited territory situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, 11 hereby designated as "South Colton Annexation No. 15" and described as 12 follows: 13 Those portions of Sections 5 and 6, Township 2 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the County of San 14 Bernardino, State of California, and more particularly described as follows: 15 Commencing at the center of Section 5, also being the centerline 16 intersections of Van Buren Street and Michigan Street; thence west along said centerline of Van Buren Street a distance of 674,3 17 feet to the true point of beginning; 18 Thence south along the west lines of Lots 3 7, 44, 53 and 60 and their prolon- gation of the East River side Land Company as per plat recorded in Map 19 Book o, Page 44, Records of San Bernardino County, a distance of 2660. 7 feet, more or less, to the San Bernardino County 20 Boundary line; thence west along said boundary line to an inter- section with the west right of way line of La Cadena Drive, a 21. county highway, said point also being a point in the corporate limits of the City of Colton; thence northeasterly along said right 22 of way line and said corporate limits the following courses and distances; north 25° 03' 14" east a distance of 182. 60 feet; thence 23 north 34° 32' 57" east a distance of 240.99 feet; thence north 89 ° 50' 20" east a distance of 10 feet; thence north 21°21' 07" east a 24 distance of 41. 30 feet; thence north 11 °10' 04" west a distance of 44. 77 feet; thence north 28 °00' 12" east a distance of 307.30 25 feet; thence south 74° 22' east a distance of 3.49 feet; thence north 20 °44' east a distance of 102. 21 feet, more or less; thence 26 south 74° 20' east a distance of 15.42 feet to the Jurupa Rancho line; thence northerly along the Jurupa Rancho line to the southerly 27 line of La Loma Sub as recorded in Book 16 of Maps, Page 30, Records of San Bernardino County; thence northerly along the 28 easterly line of said La Loma Sub to the intersection of the centerline of La Loma Avenue; thence leaving the corporate 29 limits of the City of Colton easterly along the easterly prolongation of said centerline to its intersection with the centerline of La 30 Cadena Avenue; thence in a northeasterly direction to the south- west corner of Alfred Acres Tract No. 1900, as recorded in 31 Book 27 of Maps, Page 35; thence easterly along the south line of said Tract and its easterly prolongation, to its intersection 32
