1 with the easterly right of way line of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad right of way, 110 feet wide, as shown on C.S. 2 Roll 3230; thence southerly along said easterly right of way line to an intersection with the northerly right of way line of State 3 Highway No. 43 as shown on Map 151-36-5, Parcel No. 5; thence easterly along the northerly line of said parcel and its easterly 4 prolongation to an intersection with the easterly line of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way as shown on Map 872-36- 5 23c, Parcel No. 11; thence southerly along said easterly right of way to its intersection with the centerline of Van Buren Street. 66 feet wise; 6I thence easterly along said centerline to the Point of Beginning. 7 2. That the Council of the City of Colton desires to annex said unin- 8 habited territory to the City of Colton for the following reasons: The 9 territory is contiguous to the City of Colton and its proposed annexation will 10 con tribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and development of both the 11 City and the territory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and contribute to 12 the proper and orderly layout, design and construction of streets, gutters, 13 sidewalks, sanitary and storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both 14 within the City and within the territory proposed to be annexed; and will pro- 15 vide and facilitate proper overall planning and zoning of lands and subdivision 16 of lands in said City and said uninhabited territory, in a manner most con- 17 ducive to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited territory. 18 3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Bernardino County, 19 California, did in session duly assembled on March 18, 1965, approve the 20 proposed annexation boundaries of said "South Colton Annexation No. 15" and 21 that the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino County, 22 California, did in session duly assembled on April 7, 1965 approve the pro- 23 posed annexation boundaries of said "South Colton Annexation No. 15", 24 4, That Tuesday, June 15, 1965, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the 25 Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 North 8th Street in the 26 City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, California, is hereby fixed as the 27 time and place when and where any person owning real property within the 28 uninhabited territory above despribed and proposed to be annexed to the City 29 of Colton and having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear 30 before the Council of the City of Colton and show cause why such uninhabited 31 territory should not be so annexed to said City of Colton.
