Third Party Information
Task F: Discussion of Final Alternatives with Colton Electric
After review of the draft Final Report by Colton Electric, a final review be held by conference call to resolve any
comments.
Task G: Issue Final Report
Based on the results of Task F, CH2M Hill shall update the contents of the report as necessary and issue the Final
Report to Colton Electric for their files and use.
Task H: Progress Reports and Project Status Updates
CH2M Hill shall consider continual communication with Colton Electric to be essential in ensuring the successful
completion of this project. Since the overall schedule is relatively short, Consultant shall be committed to a
minimum of weekly conference call and/or email project status updates with Colton Electric to ensure that issues are
identified and resolved quickly and that there are no "surprises" with the philosophy of the approach or the contents
of documents. In addition to these ongoing stanis updates, project review meetings would be held as discussed in
Tasks A, D, and F.
Task 1: Assist in the presentation to the City Council:
If necessary, Consultant shall provide the necessary justification for approval of a preferred alternative and
commitment of the associated funding for the project. C112M Hill shall be available to assist Colton Electric with
this presentation by helping to prepare presentation materials and supplemental information and attending the City
Council meeting, if necessary. These items are not included in the estimate and schedule, but shall be negotiated as
"Additional Work" if required.
Basic Assumptions
The assumptions used in this scope are based on Consultant's assessment of the project and the results of the pre-bid
meeting held at the offices of Colton Electric on November 30, 2005. These assumptions include:
The Aspen model for the existing distribution system is available for consultant's use on this project.
Consultant shall not be required to create a new model of the existing system.
Loading information on the existing circuits is available.
Drawings of the existing system are available.
Colton Electric Standards and Practices are available for use.
Anticipated loads for Pellisier Ranch and other future developments are available or shall be estimated
based on previous experience.
The review and evaluation of the 12.47 kV distribution system shall be required only to the extent
necessary to support this study.
Changes to the 69 kV system, except as may be required for the possible addition of a new substation, are
not part of this study.
Sketches or prelinarnary drawings as necessary to support the study results are required. Detailed
engineering and design efforts and drawings are not required for the study.
Level I type project schedules and +/- 20% cost estimates are required to support the alternatives.
Modifications to the City's power generating plant are not part of this study.
ORANGE\6PP\13728 1
16
