RESOLUTION NO. 2614 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF COLTON ESTABLISHING A MINIMUM CHARGE FOR <br /> THE WITHDRAWAL OF WATER FROM PUBLIC FIRE <br /> HYDRANTS . <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton that <br /> Resolution No. 2271 adopted on the 15th day of May, 1962, fixing meter <br /> deposits for fire hydrant meters shall be amended in paragraphs III and <br /> IV to read: <br /> III. The said application shall be accompanied with payment of <br /> a meter deposit of $25 .00. <br /> IV. A minimum charge of $5 .00 per month or any portion thereof <br /> from date of application shall be charged for water used from said <br /> public fire hydrant. Water charges shall be at the rate of $0.18 per <br /> hundred cubic feet, and the aforesaid deposit shall be applied to the <br /> cost thereof, and any balance due and owing shall be paid to the City <br /> of Colton upon demand therefor together with the costs of any damage <br /> caused directly or indirectly by said user in such withdrawal or taking. <br /> The deposit and charges for water taken or withdrawn shall not apply to <br /> water used for public purposes for the City of Colton or such other <br /> public body or use as the City Council may determine. <br /> ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 5th day of October, 1965. <br /> ATTEST: JOHN M.
