1 said contemplated work is of more than local or ordinary public <br /> 2 benefit and this City Council hereby makes the expense of said <br /> 3 work Chargeable upon a district, that said district includes <br /> 4 only land within the City of Colton, Which district this City <br /> 5 council hereby declares to be the district benefited by the <br />• <br /> 6 said work and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof. <br /> 7 For a description of said district reference is hereby made to <br /> 8 a plat or map of said district heretofore approved by this City <br /> 9 Council on file in the office of the said City Clerk and <br /> 10 designated "flap of Proposed Assessment District No. 548", which <br /> 11 map or plat indicates by a boundary line the extent of the <br /> 12 territory included in the said proposed district and shall govern <br /> 13 for all details as to the extent of said assessment district. <br /> 14 Section 4. That serial bonds bearing interest at the rate <br /> 15 of six per cent (6%) per annum shall be issued to represent each <br /> 16 assessment of fifty dollars (00) or over remaining unpaid for <br /> 17 thirty (30) days after the date of recordation of the warrant. <br /> 18 Said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine (9) <br /> 19 years from the second day of January next succeeding the next <br /> 20 September 1st following their date. Said bonds are to be issued <br /> 21 pursuant to and as provided in the Improvement Act of 1911, <br /> 22 Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of <br /> 23 California and amendments thereto. said bonds shall have <br /> 24 redemption provisions for a premium of five per cent (5%) of the <br /> 25 unpaid principal pursuant to Section 6464 of the Streets and <br /> 26 Highways Code. <br /> 27 Section S. That the proposed work is to be done under <br /> 28 and proceedings therefor are to be under and pursuant to the <br /> 29 said Improvement Act of 1911 and amendments thereto. <br /> 30 Section 6. That the owners of more than sixty (60) <br /> 31 per cent in area of the property subject to assessment for said <br /> 32 proposed work have signed and filed with the City Clerk a written <br /> - 2 <br />
