Tenth Street <br />Colton, CA 92324 <br />Subject: Proposal to Provide Support Services for <br />Seismic Retrofit of Eight Bridges <br />Dear Ms. Rhinehart: <br />T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) is pleased to submit this proposal to assist you in completing <br />seismic retrofit of eight bridges in the City. The purpose of this contract will be to conduct <br />the activities necessary to bring the project to the point that the City can advertise for <br />construction bids. Accordingly, we have prepared a Scope of Services and Engineering Fee <br />to cover work related to determination of status, updating of plans, obtaining clearances and <br />assembling complete bid packages. The bridges to be considered are as follows: <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0077 - La Cadena Drive at Santa Ana River <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0078 - La Cadena Drive at BNSF <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0079 - La Cadena Drive Pedestrian Overcrossing <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0100 - Mt. Vernon Avenue at Santa Ana River <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0101 - Mt. Vernon Avenue at UPRR <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0375 - West C Street at UPRR <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0384 - C Street at UPRR <br />■ Br. No. 54C-0599 - Rancho Avenue Pedestrian Overcrossing <br />Scope of Services <br />TYLI will provide the following scope of services <br />Task I - Status Update. TYLI will review project files provided by the City to gain an <br />understanding of the available data and level of completion of each bridge. We will also <br />consult with Caltrans Structures Local Assistance staff to determine the type and availability <br />of data in their files. <br />Based on analysis of the data and additional interviews with City and Caltrans staff, TYLI <br />will prepare a "status report' for each bridge summarizing work completed to date, level of <br />permitting and approvals achieved, funding status with Caltrans, and other pertinent data. <br />The status reports will consist of a brief technical memorandum for each structure. <br />3550 Vine Street, Suite 120 1 Riverside, California I T 951.788.4688 1 F 951.788.4988 1 www.tylin.com <br />
