1.10 If necessary, provide notification to all employees and providers of services of the change in <br />workers' compensation claims administrated by the City. This notification shall include a <br />statement indicating that all outstanding billings on any City claim should be submitted to the <br />new administrator for processing. The providers of services shall also be furnished with file <br />folder labels imprinted with the new Administrator's name and address for=trse in the <br />reporting and billing information. <br />2. Audit - The City shall, at its option, have the right to have ai <br />claim audit performed on a random <br />selection of files once yearly. The audit will be gesrerally dire,00,4 to the following areas: <br />2.1 Compliance with contra(slualand fiduciary obligations; <br />2.2 Compliance with; the City's case management staxtdazds and accuracy of loss runs <br />and records; <br />2.3 Application of all current W C:A.B. rules and regulations and case law. <br />3. Case File Review — A quarterly meeting shall be held between the Consultant (administrator) and <br />Human Resource staff. This review will be primarily directed to the evaluation of open indemnity <br />claims including litigated cases. The purpose of the review shall be to outline losses and identify <br />problems, examine reserves, identify current trends, discuss changes in the Labor Code, apply new <br />case law to existing claims, discuss the need for improving or altering claims management, and to <br />make recommendations for improvement in communication between the claims administrator and <br />the City. <br />4. Periodic Meetings — The Consultant shall meet with City staff periodically (at least 4 times) per <br />year to: <br />4.1 Assist the City in developing and modifying internal procedures. <br />4.2 Provide orientation and training to City personnel involved in the administration of <br />the Program. <br />4.3 Discuss general trends in the Workers' Compensation Program. <br />5. Advisory Services — The Consultant shall provide written bulletins to inform the City of the <br />adoption, amendment or repeal of all statutes, rules and regulations which directly affect the <br />Program. <br />6. Compliance with Law — The Consultant shall administer the Program in full compliance with all <br />laws, rules and regulations governing Workers' Compensation and self-insurance. <br />7.
