Smith, City Manager <br />Carlos Campos, City Attorney <br />Stephanie M. Vargas, Deputy City Clerk <br />Council Member Gonzalez read a proclamation recognizing the month of September as National Recovery <br />Month. Gonzalez presented the proclamation to Jessica Robles, Clinical Director, and Christina Lee, <br />Nursing Supervisor, from the Colton Comprehensive Treatment Center. Jessica Robles expressed her <br />appreciation for the City recognizing National Recovery Month. <br />• Recognition - 2024 Volunteer of the Year <br />Mayor Navarro announced that this item would be moved to the October 15, 2024 council meeting. <br />• Recognition - Jay Chavez <br />MPT Echevarria presented a certificate of recognition to Jay Chavez for his achievement in airing as a guest <br />DJ on the Old School 104.7 FM radio station. MPT Echevarria recognized Jay Chavez's creativity and <br />talent and thanked him for his contribution to the community. Jay Chavez expressed his appreciation for <br />being recognized and accepted his certificate of recognition. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER <br />17, 2024. <br />GIFT DISCLOSURES <br />Mayor Navarro asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest <br />pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />AB 1234 ORAL REPORTS <br />Mayor Navarro asked the members present if there were any brief reports on meetings attended at the expense <br />of the City. (GC Section 53232.3(d). None disclosed. <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />• Appointment - Designate League of CA Cities Voting Delegate and Alternate. <br />Consensus was reached by the Council to appoint MPT Echevarria as the voting delegate for <br />the League of CA Cities, and to appoint CM Chastain as the alternate voting delegate. <br />September 17, 2024 Regular City Council Meeting 2 - <br />
