R-98-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />COMMENCING JULY 1, 2006 AND ENDING JUNE 30,2007 <br />WHEREAS, the Colton Public Library has been approved for grant funding, in <br />the amount of $15,000, from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and; <br />WHEREAS, the budget for the City of Colton for the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 was approved and adopted on June 20, 2006, <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the reallocation of appropriations between departmental activities <br />may be made by the City Manager, amendments (increases/decreases) to the budget <br />shall be by approval and resolution of the City Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton, San Bernardino <br />County, California authorizes the acceptance of the Bill and Melinda Gates <br />Foundation, Computer Hardware Upgrade Grant, in the amount of $15,000. The City <br />Manager is hereby authorized to sign the applicable documents on behalf of the City <br />to execute this agreement. <br />SECTION 2: As a result of this agreement, it is necessary to make an <br />adjustment to the fiscal year 2006-07 budget. The allocations in Expenditure Account <br />225-6250-6250-4930 and in Revenue Account 225-2852 shall both be increased by <br />the grant amount of $15,000. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this I st day of August, 2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
