Since Section 3.08.060 is unclear as to whether these new <br />installations may be treated as single "projects" or "works," the City staff requests that the <br />City Council authorize and provide direction to interpret Section 3.08.060 of the Municipal <br />Code as permitting the City to consider individual streets or related street segments as the <br />"project" or "work." <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />Positive fiscal impact through savings in change order requests that are typical when the <br />project involves many streets and pipelines. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />This Resolution is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality <br />Act (Public Resources Code §§ 21000 et seg.)
