Also, Fifth District SB County Supervisor Joe Baca Jr. presented a check in the amount of <br />$100,602, to help with animal services for the Colton Police Department. <br />Mayor and Council Items <br />Gift Disclosures <br />There were no gift disclosures reported. <br />AB 1234 Oral Reports <br />There were no oral reports. <br />Appointments <br />® Fireworks Ad Hoc Committee —Appointment of two (2) City Council Members <br />The city council appointed MPT Toro and CM Echevarria to be on the newly formed <br />Fireworks Ad Hoc Committee by unanimous consent. <br />a Appointment - League of Cal Cities Voting Delegate & Alternate <br />The City Council appointed CM Gonzalez to be the voting delegate and CM Chastain to <br />be the voting alternate for the League of California Cities by unanimous consent. <br />Mayor and Council Discussion Items <br />Discussion on City Council Compensation (CM Chastain) <br />This City Council discussed whether the City Council should vote to increase their stipends as <br />elected officials and questions that arose were answered by the City Attorney, Marco <br />Martinez. <br />The city council directed staff to prepare an ordinance to increase their current compensation, <br />as allowed by State Law, and to agendize this item for further discussion, and to allow public <br />comment if required. <br />
