Public Hearings <br />1) Weed Abatement - Time and Place Fixed to Consider a Public Hearing to Approve and Adopt <br />a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Colton to Adopt a Report and Statement of <br />Expenses for the City's Weed Abatement Program and Imposing a Lien Upon Property for <br />Payment Thereof, RESOLUTION NO. R-67-25. <br />Public Hearing Opened <br />The Mayor announced the Public Hearing Open. <br />The City Clerk submitted the notice of Public Hearing (on file in the City Clerk's Office) and <br />there were no letters of opposition received for this item. <br />Staff Presentation <br />Battalion Chief/ Fire Marshall, Jon Boggs, presented to Council an overview of the agenda item <br />and requested approval of staff's recommendation. <br />Public Comment <br />The following community members addressed the Council: <br />• Ghulam Omar <br />• Johnathan Tanis <br />e Fahim Tanis <br />■ Nick Zupkofska <br />Public Hearing Closed <br />A motion was made to close the Public Hearing by CM Echevarria, and seconded by CM <br />Gonzalez. <br />Vote: Unanimous, Motion Passes <br />Council Discussion <br />Discernment and discussion between Mayor and Council members present, with clarification <br />provided by staff: Battalion Chief/ Fire Marshall, Jon Boggs, and City Attorney, Marco Martinez. <br />Motion/Vote <br />A motion was made to overrule the protest and adopt Resolution No. R-67-25, by CM <br />Gonzalez, with a second by MPT Toro. <br />Vote: Motion passes by majority vote with CM Chastain voting no. <br />
