The design phase of this project will include the design of pavement and sidewalk for the missing portion of C Street between Rancho Avenue and 4th Street. The consultant has provided the City with a proposal to complete the following work: preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates for the C Street Missing Links Project; the compensation identified in the proposal for this design work totaled $60,095. As the original agreement awarded was in the amount of $55,715 and the proposed amendment is in the amount of $60,095, the total compensation of the amended agreement will be $115,810. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: The proposed public improvements are Exempt under Section 15301 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends: • Approve first amendment to the design contract of Katz, Okitsu and Associates to include PS&E for "C" Street Missing Links Project, in the amount of $60,095, increasing the total contract amount to $115,810.
