EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />NON-STRUCTURAL PLAN CHECK (CODE COMPLIANCE) <br />Contractor shall: <br />A. Review in accordance with the current California Building Code, the California <br />Plumbing Code, the California Mechanical Code, the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa <br />and Hot Tub code, and the California Electric Code, as adopted and amended by <br />the City, as follows: <br />1. Building use, occupancy, limitations, egress, and fire protection compliance; <br />2. Plumbing review and analysis of design calculations; <br />3. Mechanical review and analysis of design calculations; <br />4. Electrical review and analysis of load calculations; <br />5. Energy calculations and compliance with State Title 24, CAC; <br />6. Disabled access provisions/compliance with State Title 24, CAC; <br />7. Mobile home accessory structures, per State Title 25, CAC. <br />B. Be certified by the International Conference of Building Officials as a Plans <br />Examiner in accordance with the provisions of Sections 18966 and 18968 of CBSC <br />Health and Safety Code. <br />C. Code Compliance Plan reviewers shall use existing City forms. Reviewers shall <br />maintain written lists of corrections needed to make plans conform to the applicable <br />codes and regulations. <br />D. The work -location is to be the contractor's offices. The plans will be picked up by the <br />contractor from the City of Colton and transported by the contractor to the <br />contractor's office for review. <br />2. STRUCTURAL PLAN CHECK <br />Contractor shall: <br />A. Review plans and engineering calculations/reports in accordance with the Structural <br />Engineering Provisions of the California Building Code and accepted engineering <br />practices. <br />B. Structural plan reviewers shall be registered as architects, civil or structural <br />engineers by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. <br />Such individuals must also be experienced in the code requirements of structural <br />design. Engineers will be expected to sign and date all structural plans and <br />calculations as "reviewed and approved" as an agent of the Building Official. <br />C.
