EXHIBIT "A" SCOPE OF SERVICES NON-STRUCTURAL PLAN CHECK (CODE COMPLIANCE) Contractor shall: A. Review in accordance with the current California Building Code, the California Plumbing Code, the California Mechanical Code, the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub code, and the California Electric Code, as adopted and amended by the City, as follows: 1. Building use, occupancy, limitations, egress, and fire protection compliance; 2. Plumbing review and analysis of design calculations; 3. Mechanical review and analysis of design calculations; 4. Electrical review and analysis of load calculations; 5. Energy calculations and compliance with State Title 24, CAC; 6. Disabled access provisions/compliance with State Title 24, CAC; 7. Mobile home accessory structures, per State Title 25, CAC. B. Be certified by the International Conference of Building Officials as a Plans Examiner in accordance with the provisions of Sections 18966 and 18968 of CBSC Health and Safety Code. C. Code Compliance Plan reviewers shall use existing City forms. Reviewers shall maintain written lists of corrections needed to make plans conform to the applicable codes and regulations. D. The work -location is to be the contractor's offices. The plans will be picked up by the contractor from the City of Colton and transported by the contractor to the contractor's office for review. 2. STRUCTURAL PLAN CHECK Contractor shall: A. Review plans and engineering calculations/reports in accordance with the Structural Engineering Provisions of the California Building Code and accepted engineering practices. B. Structural plan reviewers shall be registered as architects, civil or structural engineers by the California State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. Such individuals must also be experienced in the code requirements of structural design. Engineers will be expected to sign and date all structural plans and calculations as "reviewed and approved" as an agent of the Building Official. C.
