regulations. <br />D. The work -location is to be the contractor's offices. The plans will be picked up by the <br />contractor from the appropriate City Office and transported by the contractor to the <br />contractor's office for review. <br />3 CUSTOMER COORDINATION <br />The City of Colton does not permit plan set exchanges between the customer and <br />Contractor. To avoid the occurrence of any `unauthorized' modifications occurring, the City <br />of Colton will coordinate transportation of materials. However, with prior City approval, a <br />meeting may be permitted between the Contractor and customer if they are approaching <br />their third or fourth plan check. In addition, the customer will be permitted to call the <br />Contractor for minor issues/clarification. <br />3 APPROVAL OF PLANS <br />Contractor shall: <br />A. As all reviews and clearances are complete, signed and approved, plans shall be <br />forwarded to the appropriate City Office for issuance of a permit. All plans <br />completed and approved by the contractor shall be stamped and signed. The <br />approval stamp must clearly show the contractor's printed firm name and the printed <br />name of all staff that worked on the plan who will sign. Each page of the plan must <br />be stamped and signed. <br />B. The City's Building Official shall have final decision authority over the results of the <br />plan review by the contractor and all work products and results of the contractor <br />shall be to the satisfaction of the Building Official. However the Building Official will <br />not define how the contractor's professional work practices are performed. <br />C. In instances where the permit applicant takes exception to the contractor's <br />interpretation of the regulations, the Building Official shall render a final decision <br />utilizing, as deemed appropriate, the resources of the City Attorney and/or the Board <br />of Appeals. <br />D. All plan check corrections or reports shall be maintained in a computer file format <br />acceptable to the City. Each and every set of corrections produced for a project <br />shall be saved with a separate file name. The file naming convention is to be <br />determined by the city.
