APPROVED 1-31-; <br />CITY `0-N(_",', <br />®ate3J Q <br />Item #, <br />MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE CITY OF LOMA LINDA <br />TO PROVIDE FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL SERVICES: <br />CHIEF -LEVEL OFFICER DITTY COVERAGE <br />L PARTIES AND DATE <br />This Agreement is made and entered into this 'I �*VN day of March, 2008, by and <br />between the CITY OF COLTON, a California municipal corporation, (hereinafter called <br />"COLTON"), and the CITY OF LOMA LINDA, a California municipal corporation, (hereinafter <br />called "LOMA LINDA"), and alternatively referred to together hereinafter as the "PARTIES". <br />2. RECITALS <br />2.1 COLTON and LOMA LINDA have long had an Automatic Aid Agreement <br />whereby fire apparatus and personnel routinely respond into each of the PARTIES' respective <br />jurisdictions. <br />2.2 The personnel of both PARTIES' fire departments have had joint training and <br />have worked together in emergency situations for many years, whereby COLTON Chief Officers <br />have provided duty coverage for LOMA LINDA on a regular basis since March of 1999, <br />pursuant to an approved amendment to the Automatic Aid Agreement, and whereby LOMA <br />LINDA chief -level officers have provided duty coverage for COLTON on an occasional basis, as <br />requested. <br />2.3 The PARTIES have found the arrangement described in Section 2.2 to be <br />mutually beneficial. <br />MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN COLTON AND LOMA LINDA — <br />PROVISION OF CHIEF -LEVEL OFFICER DUTY COVERAGE <br />1 <br />
