Transportation (Caltrans). This process entails the submittal of environmental reports for Caltrans' <br />review and approval. Prior to the submittal of the environmental documents, a field review meeting <br />is required to be held at the bridge locations with Caltrans staff. This field review meeting was held <br />on October 22, 2007. <br />To obtain the environmental clearance required for the identified bridge projects from Caltrans, the <br />City must complete an air quality assessment report for the identified bridges. Staff has informally <br />bid this professional service as required per the City's purchasing ordinance. Six qualified <br />consultants were contacted to respond to the issued Request for Proposals, however only a single <br />consultant responded, LSA Associates, Inc.
