Section 3. The City Council further grants that the City Manager and/or City Attorney <br />shall have ongoing authority, without further approval by the City Council, to make minor <br />amendments to Exhibit "A" from time to time, in accordance with changes to State and federal <br />laws and regulations which may affect retention periods for City records. <br />Section 4. Pursuant to the authority provided in Government Code section 34090.7, the <br />City Council hereby prescribes that the City Clerk may at any time authorize the destruction of <br />any duplicate records that are less than two (2) years old if such duplicate records are no longer <br />required. The City Clerk shall follow the destruction procedure provided in Exhibit "A" when <br />destroying any such duplicate records, except that City Council approval shall not be required <br />for destruction of such duplicate records. <br />Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution. <br />Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of February, 2009. <br />ATTEST: <br />EILEEN C.
