City of Colton Request for Bid # RFB-DR-09-002 <br />Public Works Department Closing Date: 4/27/09 @ 02:00 P.M. <br />APPENDIX "A" <br />SPECIFICATIONS - Item #1 <br />One (1) Van 1 -Ton, Twelve (12) Passenger, Dedicated CNG Powered -Staff Van 2009 (current year) Ford <br />E-350 or Equivalent <br />Each vehicle shall be a new and currently advertised model of the manufacturer's latest design (2009); equipped with all standard component items <br />identified in the manufacturer's description and specification publications, whether or not specifically requested and except where optional <br />components are specified herein. <br />Where applicable, each unit shall be equipped with all legal devices required for highway operation and meet all D.O.T., State of California, <br />CALOSHA, and federal standards and requirements. <br />It is the intent of these specifications to describe the Van -1 Ton, Twelve (12) Passenger, Dedicated CNG Powered Staff Van, in sufficient detail <br />to secure bids on comparable equipment. All parts not specifically mentioned which are necessary to provide a complete Van -I Ton, Twelve (12) <br />Passenger, Dedicated CNG Powered Staff Van, shall be included in the bid and shall conform in strength, quality of workmanship to what is <br />usually provided the trade in general. The specifications herein shall not be construed in any way to sanction the degrading or elimination of <br />accepted standards of engineering and craftsmanship in configuration and construction. <br />Cumulative miles/hours shall not exceed 500-miles/8-hours at time of delivery. ALL VEHICLES MUST BE DELIVERED WITH FUEL <br />TANK(S) FULL. <br />The following specifications are for One (1) each, (2009) current production, Van -I Ton, Twelve (12) Passenger, Dedicated CNG Powered <br />Staff Van. All specifications are "OR EQUAL" unless noted in DESCRIPTION sections. The vehicle must meet all California emission <br />standards and have all legal safety devices. The minimum requirements acceptable are listed below.
