Staff Report to the Mayor and City Council
Lease Agreement — County W.I.C. Program
October 19, 2010
Page 2
ISSUES/ANALYSIS
The County of San Bernardino has been a good "tenant" at Luque Center, and the services
provided are of great value to the community. The proposed agreement has been reviewed by
both City and County staff, as well as City and County legal counsel. Staff is confident that the
County is qualified and able to provide an ongoing level of service consistent with current
program expectations.
The term of this agreement is proposed for renewable, one-year terms. This ensures the
continuation of the program, while at the same time allowing for yearly review for any needed
changes. It also avoids any long term commitment, should either the City or County decide to
discontinue this usage for any reason.
FISCAL IMPACTS
The minimal fiscal impact of this action is a one dollar ($1.00) per year rent payment due from
the County to the City for their usage.
ALTERNATIVES
Provide alternative direction to staff.
ATTACHMENTS
Proposed Lease Agreement with the County of San Bernardino
