City Of Colton <br />Line Crew Supervisor (continued) <br />May participate in the work of crew members to instruct in the <br />proper methods of performing job duties to improve performance in <br />areas such as ease of work, time saving, aesthetics and safety. <br />Perform related duties as required. <br />OUALIFICATIONS <br />Knowledge of: <br />Methods, materials, and tools used in electrical underground <br />and overhead construction, maintenance and repair work. <br />Principles of electrical theory as applied to electrical <br />circuits and wiring systems. <br />Occupational hazards and standard safety precautions necessary <br />in the performance of the job. <br />Applicable codes, safety orders and ordinances. <br />Principles and practices of supervision, training and <br />Performance evaluation. <br />Ability to: <br />organize and assign the work of skilled and semi -skilled <br />employees. <br />Supervise and, perform a variety of skilled maintenanceandconstruction tasks to the electrical transmission" and <br />distribution system. <br />Effectively instruct electric utility personnel in the proper <br />methods, procedures and safety precautions of the work. <br />Understand and follow oral and written instructions. <br />Read and interpret sketches and blueprints. <br />Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing <br />Identify electrical system defects and recommend appropriate <br />corrective action. <br />Supervise, train and evaluate subordinates. <br />Establish and maintain effective working relationships with <br />those contacted in the course of work. <br />-2- <br />
