Brown Act (California Government Code Sections 54950 gI <br />=Q.), and in particular by the provisions of Government Code Section 54957.2(a), to <br />designatetheCity Clerk to attend all closed sessions of the City Council for the purpose of <br />taking minutes of such sessions; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to <br />so designate the City Clerk to attend closed sessions of the City Council to take minutes and <br />to keep the confidential minute book of the City Council. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />HEREBY FINDS, DETERMINES AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />A. The City Clerk is hereby designated to attend all closed session meetings of <br />the City Council and the Agency to take minutes of such sessions. <br />B. The City Clerk is further designated to keep and enter in a minute book a <br />record of topics discussed and decisions made at all closed sessions of the City Council and <br />the Agency pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Section 54957.2. <br />C. In accord with the provisions of Government Code Section 54957.2, the minute <br />book of the City Council shall be kept confidential and shall be made available only to <br />members of the City Council or the Agency as applicable, or in the event that a violation <br />of the Ralph M. Brown Act is alleged to have occurred at a closed session, to a court having <br />general jurisdiction over the City Council. <br />
