CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT (Continued) <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF MAY 18, 1993 <br />SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT WITH BLACK & VEATCH, A CONSULTING FIRM, FOR - <br />CONSULTATION, ENGINEERING, AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR <br />A NEW SUBSTATION AND TRANSMISSION LINES <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />The work plan and proposal are divided into three phases: Phases S and 3 are for <br />planning and support services; and construction, engineering, andmanagement <br />Services, respectively. These services will be paid on an actual cost basis. <br />Phase 2 is for the design of and engineering services for transmission lines, <br />distribution linesto the County Medical Hospital, and the substation. The total <br />cost for Phase 2 will be $277,934. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />To be determined if a Negative Declaration is sufficient or an Environmental <br />Impact Report is required. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council authorize the Electric Utility Director to execute <br />the agreement with Black & Veatch. <br />City Manager's Concurrence: <br />The Agreement is on file iri the `City Clerk's office for your review. <br />Page 2 of 2 Item No. <br />
