Emergency Rehabilitation of 15" Sewer Main <br />Page 2 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />The sewer main's integrity had been compromised, and resulted in raw sewage being <br />leaked into the ground, requiring disinfection of the exposed area. The rehabilitation of <br />the sewer main has insured that raw sewage will not seep into the ground. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The FY96-97 Wastewater Capital Improvement Budget included funds for the sewer <br />main rehabilitation project in the amount of $400,000. Sufficient funds are available in <br />the Wastewater Sewer Main Repairs Account No. 22-9411-89. <br />(A�)- Z ae/r (i):5 R2i22 <br />William Roth, Wastewater Superintendent <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that Council concur with the emergency rehabilitation of the 15" <br />sewer main on Mt. Vernon Ave. from "D" Street to Valley Blvd., in the amount of <br />$197,040, and approve Insituform Southwest as the contractor to perform the <br />rehabilitation work. <br />Report Prepared By.
