AGENDA REPORT <br />For the Council Meeting of July 16, 1996 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: NABAR ENRIQUE MARTINEZ, CITY MANAGEP0 <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ-HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE <br />FULL-TIME POSITION OF WASTEWATER OPERATOR -IN <br />TRAINING IN THE WATER AND WASTEWATER DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: JULY 9, 1996 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />There is one (1) vacant Wastewater Operator -in -Training position in the Water and <br />Wastewater Department. Attached is the job description for the classification; the <br />salary range is $1805 - $2192 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />Recruitment and interviews were conducted, and the Interim Water and Wastewater <br />Director is requesting a full-time appointment to the position of Wastewater Operator -in - <br />Training. The candidate being recommended for appointment meets the education and <br />experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />This is an Enterprise Fund position and is funded in the 1996-97 fiscal year.
