CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 5,1996 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: MALIK DANTALA FREEMAN, INTERIM CITY MANAGER <br />FROM: GRACIE FERNANDEZ HARMON, PERSONNEL DIRECTOR ' I <br />� <br />SUBJECT: RATIFICATION OF EMPLOYEE APPOINTMENT TO THE PART -TIMET -TIME <br />POSITIONS (3) OF COMMUNITY CHILD CARE TEACHER'S HELPER <br />IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br />DATE: OCTOBER 21,1996 <br />BACKGROUND: There are three (3) vacant Community Child Care Teacher's Helper positions in <br />the Neighborhood Services Department. Attached is the job description for the classification; the <br />hourly rate is $5.50. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: Recruitment for said position was conducted. Oral examinations were <br />held and an eligibility list established. The candidates being referred for Council ratification meet the <br />education and experience requirements as specified in the job description. <br />FINANCIAL EVIPACT: These are special revenue fund positions and are funded for the 1996-97 <br />fiscal year as follows: Account No. 206-7200-7202-1040 (salaries - temporary) <br />Randy L. Anstine, Neighborhood Services Director <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: That City Council ratify the employee appointment to the part-time <br />positions (3) of Community Child Care Teacher's Helper as recommended by the Neighborhood <br />Services Director. <br />Attachment: Job Description <br />Prepared by: Arleen F.
