CITY OF COLTON <br />AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACT EMPLOYEE SERVICES <br />LEGAL ASSISTANT <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of October 1996, by and <br />between the CITY OF COLTON, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "City," and <br />hereinafter referred to as 'Employee." <br />I <br />RECITALS <br />The City needs and requires the services of a contract employee for the purpose of <br />performing Legal Assistant duties for the City Attorney. <br />City and Employee therefore agree as follows: <br />II <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Employee shall act in the capacity of a Contract City Employee and perform a wide <br />variety of complex, responsible, and confidential duties for the Mayor and City Council, <br />including but not limited to those specified on the attached job description for the position of <br />Legal Assistant (Exhibit A). <br />III <br />COMPENSATION <br />Compensation to Employee for the services designated in Section II - Scope of Services <br />shall be step A of the current salary range established by Resolution R -62A-96 for the position <br />of Legal Assistant, $3,001 per month, plus fringe benefits stipulated in the <br />Management/Confidential Unit MOU, including without limitation lay-off and bumping rights. <br />Step increases may be approved in accord with standard City policies. <br />The foregoing benefits shall be in accordance with established City policies effective <br />during the term of this agreement. <br />IV <br />CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT <br />City shall provide all necessary office assistance to Employee for the performance of her <br />work under this agreement. Adequate office space and resources shall be made available to <br />Employee. <br />-1- <br />
