2 <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The annual cost of this agreement is determined by the formula A = 0.25(P) x (F) where <br />A = quarterly amount owed, P = population and F = $0.80 adjusted each July 1 using <br />the consumer price index with 1996 as the base year. Estimated fiscal impact for Fiscal <br />Year 1997/98 is $36,000. Cost of the program for Fiscal Year 1996/97 was $35,600. <br />Funding for the renewal of the attached Household Hazardous Waste Agreement will <br />be made available through the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System <br />(NPDES) assessment. The budget for this expense will be located in Account #722- <br />8200-8215-2410 for Fiscal Year 1997/98. <br />Daryl J. Parrish, Assistant City Manager <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the attached five year agreement between the County of <br />San Bernardino (County Fire Department ) and the City of Colton for the Collection, <br />Recycling, Treatment and Disposal of Household Hazardous Wastes.
