COMMUNITY CHILD CARE MANAGER <br />DESCRIPTION: <br />Under supervision, plan, organize, implement, coordinate and schedule services of an <br />extended day child care program for school-age children at selected sites in the Colton <br />Joint Unified School District. Supervise and direct full and part-time staff. <br />EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: May include, but not limited to, the following: <br />Act as the Neighborhood Services Director as needed. <br />Plan, organize, supervise and implement child care programs that meet the needs of the <br />community and school-age children participating in the child care program. <br />Provide operational policy and procedural direction over the child care sites. <br />Inform residents of services provided at the various child care sites. <br />Assist in the development of division goals, objectives and plans for future services and <br />facilities. Research community needs and assess viability and implement programs to <br />meet those needs. <br />Prepare, monitor and administer the division budget and all contracts. <br />Approve and coordinate all programs and activities at the various child care sites. <br />Provide administrative support and technical assistance for child care related grant <br />requests. <br />Ensure that all child care personnel perform tasks in an efficient and safe manner <br />Be culturally sensitive to the needs and interests of participating families. <br />Select, supervise, train and evaluate employees. <br />Attend City Council and Commission meetings as requested by the Neighborhood <br />Services Director. <br />Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course <br />of work. <br />Perform other related duties as required. <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />Knowledge of: <br />California Department of Social Services, Community Child Care <br />Licensing Regulations. <br />6 <br />
