L � r <br />a <br />California Department of Education Community Child Care Licensing <br />Regulations. <br />Child Care and Development Block Grant Regulations <br />Principles and procedures of Child Care management. <br />Procedures and techniques of budget preparation and administration. <br />Leadership, motivation and educational techniques. <br />Ability to: <br />Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. <br />Design, develop and implement programs to meet the child care <br />service needs of the community. <br />Direct, train, schedule and evaluate assigned personnel. <br />Read and understand government codes, rules and regulations. <br />Compile and maintain mandatory records and reports. <br />Work safely and efficiently, and train subordinates in safe <br />practices of work. <br />Make decisions independent of direct supervision. <br />Experience and Training: Any combination of experience and training <br />that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. <br />A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />A minimum of two years of progressively responsible administrative <br />and supervisory experience, in a child care environment is required. <br />Education: <br />Graduation from an accredited college or university, with a bachelor's <br />degree in child care administration, recreation or public administration <br />or a related field. Must have a minimum of 30 Early Childhood Education - <br />units from an accredited college or university. Additional course work in <br />child development education or recreation highly desirable. <br />LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: <br />Possession of a current Pediatric Cardio -Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Pediatric <br />Stand First Aid certificate. <br />
