1 RESOLUTION NO. R-82-97 <br />2 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />4 <br />OF COLTON SETTING BASIC COMPENSATION RATES <br />FOR PART-TIME CLASSIFICATIONS OF EMPLOYMENT <br />5 AND RESCIND RESOLUTION NO. R-80-97 <br />6 <br />WHEREAS, Federal bill HR 3448, signed into law by President Clinton on August 20, <br />7 <br />8 1996, fixes the minimum wage at $5.15 per hour effective September 1, 1997; and <br />9 WHEREAS, in compliance with Federal bill HR 3448, this resolution increases the <br />10 hourly rate of pay for the positions of Library Page I, Pool Cashier, Recreation Aide and <br />11 Recreation Leader I; and <br />12 <br />13 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />14 OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA; <br />15 <br />16 SECTION I: Resolution No. R-80-97 is hereby repealed. <br />17 <br />SECTION II: a pay and classification plan for the City of Colton is hereby adopted as <br />18 set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached to this resolution. <br />19 <br />20 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5t' day of August, 1997. <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 Karl E.
