TO: HONORABLE MAYOR &CITY COUNCIL <br />APPROVAL: Gracie Fernandez Harmon, Acting City Manager <br />FROM: Gracie Fernandez Harmon, Personnel Director <br />SUBJECT: Consideration and Adoption of Internet Use Policy <br />DATE: July 9, 1997 <br />BACKGROUND: Last February the City Council directed staff to develop an Internet Use Policy <br />for City Council consideration and approval. Recent follow up revealed that the attached Policy <br />prepared by staff was not forwarded to the City Council for consideration. <br />DISCUSSION/.ANALYSIS: Staff conducted a survey of various agencies and found that few <br />agencies have formal, written policies regarding Internet usage.
