Page No. 65 <br />SCHEDULE PBC <br />PUBLIC BENEFIT CHARGE <br />PURPOSE <br />The purpose of the Public Benefit Charge, as mandated by the State of California, is to provide <br />for the funding of any or all of the following: <br />(1) . Cost-effective demand-side management services to promote energy -efficiency and <br />energy conservation; <br />(2) New investment in renewable energy resources and technologies consistent with <br />existing statutes and regulations which promote those resources and technologies; <br />(3) Research, development and demonstration programs for the public interest to <br />advance science or technology which is not adequately provided by competitive <br />and regulated markets; <br />(4) Services provided for low-income electricity customers, including but not limited <br />to, targeted energy efficiency service and rate discounts. <br />APPLICABILITY <br />Applicable to all existing and future retail customers of the City of Colton Electric for as long as <br />required by State Law. <br />PUBLIC BENEFIT CHARGE (PER kWh) <br />Effective January 1, 1998 ................................. $0.0029 <br />REVISIONS <br />This schedule is subject to revision by the City Council. Reasons for such a change include, but <br />are not limited to, any of the following: <br />• Changes in energy usage within the system, <br />• a change in the revenue requirement, <br />• or a change in the required percent of revenue. <br />The City shall provide 6 months advance notice of any increase in the Public Benefit Charge. <br />ISSUED BY <br />Thomas K Clarke Effective by Resolution No. Dated <br />UtilityDirector <br />Superseding Resolution No. Dated <br />
