STAFF REPORT BY:
FILE INDEX NUMBER:
APPLICANT:
REQUEST:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
David R. Zamora
Community Development Director
DO -03-97
City of Colton, Community Development Dept.
Business License Ordinance
S
T
I.\
The City of Colton Community Development Department is requesting an amendment to
the business license regulations set forth in the City's Municipal Code at Chapter 5.02. The
ordinance amends a portion of the business license regulations relating to application F
contents.
The proposed ordinance would repeal in its entirety subdivision F of section 5.02.040 which
permitstheCity's Collector, as that term is defined in section 5.02.020, to require additional F
unspecified information on the business license application. The proposed ordinance also
would redesignate subdivision G of section 5.02.040 as subdivision F.
ANALYSIS:
The purpose of this ordinance is to ensure that the business license application content
requirements set forth in the City's Municipal Code are succinctly stated and to provide the
applicant with a specific list of all information required to be submitted to the City in order to
obtain a business license.
RECOMMENDATION:
Based on the analysis of the proposed project as referenced above, staff recommends that
the Planning Commission adopt Resolution No. R-02-97, recommending to the City Council
adoption of the proposed business license ordinance.
Attachments: Proposed Ordinance
Resolution
Al
O
T
