The Street Closure for Valley Boulevard will be in effect for a period of 5 to 10 working days for <br />normal through traffic, and a Detour will be posted_ A temporary crossing lane for both directions <br />of travel along Valley will be provided for emergency vehicles; local Fire Departments and Police <br />Departments will be notified as such and signs will be posted to meet the conditions of the WATCH <br />Manual. <br />A Traffic Control & Detour Plan has been submitted for each of the streets. It is the responsibility <br />of the Contractor Wor the RR to notify the surrounding residents and business of the exact days of <br />the closure of each street. In addition, the Contractor is also responsible for implementing, <br />monitoring and maintaining the Traffic Control and the Detours for as long as each Street is closed. <br />In addition, Public Works has conditioned that throughout the closure of Valley Boulevard adequate <br />ingress/egress access to all of the businesses and homeowners along Valley Boulevard shall be <br />maintained in order that none shall be negatively impacted by said proposed Road Closure. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />None <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends the Full and Partial Street Closures noted below be approved as conditioned by <br />Public Works. <br />"E" Street Pennsylvania Ave to 7th St January 13th through 17th, 1997. <br />"H" Street Pennsylvania Ave to 7th St January 20th through 24th, 1997. <br />Valley Blvd Pennsylvania Ave to 7th St January 27th through February 7th, 1997. <br />CITY MANAGER'S CONCURRENCE: <br />prep by dst/12.96 <br />Page 2 of C�— Item <br />
