Community Development Department City of Colton C E C 71 i�So 650 North La Cadens Avenue , Colton, CA 92324 RE: Capital Infrastructure Study Dear Mr. Soto: This is in response to the November 26, 1996, Planning Commission hearing and your subsequent meeting with John Jaquess on December 3, 1996, at which issues regarding the Capital Infrastructure Study were further discussed. It was clear from the November 26 hearing that additional research and public outreach efforts will be necessary prior to City adoption of the study. However, except for attendance at two City Council meetings, consultant work on the study has been completed. Therefore, extension of our contract to conduct additional work in response to concerns and issues raised at that hearing appears necessary. The following scope of work is recommended in response to the December 3 discussion. Total cost is estimated at $25,190 as indicated on the summary cost table on page 5 of this scope. Work efforts and hours expended beyond those specified would be reimbursed separately on a time and materials basis using a standard hourly rate of $95 and a per copy cost of additional Capital Infrastructure Study reports of $48. The following scoPe is subject to adjustment in the contract amendment to meet the level of effort desired or the budget available. Since contract amendment processes will require some time for completion, Topping Jaquess Consultants is prepared to attend two meetings of the Ad Hoc Committee in lieu of completion of the two remaining City Council meetings on the existing contract. This would allow us to Proceed with support to the City while the amendment is under review and to submit a final invoice on the existing contract. RRevised Scope of Work Task 1. Provide Twelve Copies of Capital Infrastructure Study Report. Provide twelve additional copies of the final report for City use and distribution. The copies will be provided at cost plus 15% for handling. Based on prior report copy costs, these are projected to cost $575, or approximately $48 per copy. Additional copies can be provided at a cost of $48 per copy on a separate cost reimbursement basis, as requested. Cost: $575 kentopping@aol.com ■ jaquessj@aol.com
