Any demonstration or picketingactivity shall be reported at least 24 hours <br />in advance to the Cit of colton during business hours. Report of a planned demonstration <br />activity shall include at a minimum the planned route of the demonstration. No fee or permit <br />is required, <br />B. Demonstration activities shall be defined as any uninvited communicative activities within <br />a residential neighborhood by one or more non-resident persons, done with the intent to <br />communicate to the residents of the residential neighborhood and which is outside the definition <br />of door-to-door solicitation within this ordinance. Such activity includes, but is not limited to, <br />picketing; �Pt-otesting, marching or other forms of demonstration. <br />9.50.040 <br />A. Violation of any provision of this ordinance shall be a misdemeanor. <br />B. A misdemeanor violation of this ordinance shall be punishable by up to six months <br />imprisonment, up to a $1,000 fine, or both. <br />SECTION 2: If any provisions of this Ordinance or application thereof to any person <br />or circumstances is held invalid, this invalidity shall not affect other applications of this <br />Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or applications, and to this <br />end, the provisions of this Ordinance are declared to be severable. This Ordinance shall be <br />liberally construed to achieve the purposes of this Ordinance and to preserve its validity. <br />3 <br />
