R-78-97 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING CAR <br />ALLOWANCE PAYMENT FOR DESIGNATED <br />OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES, AND REPEALING <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-63-97. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton, California has determined that the <br />duties of certain officials and employees require that they travel by motor vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the interests of the City that such officials and employees are <br />reimbursed for the reasonable use of private vehicles for City purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has historically provided a car allowance in the amount of $275 per <br />month per eligible official or employee to off -set the cost of use of personal vehicles for City <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS;- existing administrative policies allow executive level employees to elect to <br />have a City owned vehicle provided to them in lieu of payment of any car allowance. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON HEREBY <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Resolution R-63-97 is hereby repealed and of no further force or effect. <br />SECTION 2. The persons holding the City offices or positions listed below shall be <br />eligible to receive a monthly car allowance of $275: <br />POSITION <br />Mayor <br />Council members <br />City Attorney <br />City Clerk <br />City Librarian <br />City Manager <br />City Treasurer <br />Community Development Director <br />Economic Development Director <br />POSITION <br />Finance Director <br />Assistant Finance Director <br />Fire Chief <br />Neighborhood Services Director <br />Personnel Director <br />Police Chief <br />Public Works Director <br />Utility Director <br />_ —� T <br />Page 1 <br />
