As used herein, "car allowance" is monthly payment of a flat sum to a City <br />official or employee as compensation for maintaining available for use, and using, a motor vehicle <br />for travel on City business. Report of miles traveled is not required. Accounting of actual expenses <br />is not required. The sum payable shall be neither increased nor decreased due to the cost of the <br />vehicle or its operation. <br />SECTION 4. This resolution does not limit or prohibit reimbursement of expenses for <br />travel to destinations outside the Colton city limits by motor vehicle. <br />SECTION 5: Nothing herein prohibits payment to a person of both a car allowance and <br />reimbursement on a mileage basis of expenses for use of that person's motor vehicle for travel to a <br />destination out of the Colton area. "Travel to a destination out of the Colton area," as used herein, <br />means a trip to a place that is either outside of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, or more <br />than fifty (50) miles from City Hall, Civic Center, Colton. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 15'h day of July 1997. <br />ATTEST: <br />Carolina P.
