1 <br />the geographical districts established by this chapter as identified and described <br />2 <br />in Section 2.02.080. <br />3 <br />2.02.030 Manner of election. <br />4 <br />5 <br />One member of the city council shall be elected from each district <br />6 <br />established by this chapter as identified and described in Section 2.02.080. <br />7 <br />2.02.040 Terms of Office. <br />8 <br />The term of office for each councilmember shall be four years. Election <br />9 <br />of members of the city council shall be on a staggered basis so that no more than <br />10 <br />three districts have terms that expire concurrently. <br />11 <br />12 <br />2.02.050 Initial time for election. <br />13 <br />A. Districts 1, 2 and 4 shall be elected to four year terms of office <br />14 <br />commencing in 1994. <br />15 <br />B. Districts 3, 5 and 6 shall be elected to four year terms of office <br />16 <br />commencing in 1992. <br />17 <br />2.02.060 Term of office for mayor. <br />18 <br />19 <br />The term of office for the mayor shall be four years commencing in 1994. <br />20 <br />2.02.070 Eligibility for election to the city council. <br />21 <br />A person is eligible to hold office as a member of the city council if he <br />22 <br />or she resides in the geographical area making up the district from which he or <br />23 <br />she is to be elected and if he or she is registered to vote at an address within such <br />24 <br />25 <br />geographical area at the time at which papers must be filed declaring his or her <br />26 <br />candidacy for office. <br />27 <br />28 <br />2 <br />
