CITY OF COLTON <br />Information Systems Coordinator (continued) <br />QUALIFICATIONS (continued) <br />Ability to: <br />Assist with research, analysis, design, recommendations, installations and support for current <br />and future micro/mainframe hardware and software requirements; identify, quickly respond, <br />and solve complex micro/mainframe system malfunctions; work cooperatively with the users; <br />communicate effectively; prepare clear, concise and complete reports; assist with prioritizing, <br />i <br />organizing and executing service requests and other related assignments, <br />g g <br />EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of experience and education that would <br />likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br />knowledge and abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />Three years experience in one or more specific application area or two years as technical <br />support in a similar environment. <br />Hardware: <br />BP3000 S937; HP9000 K100; communication devices (modems, multiplexers, access servers; <br />file servers, peer-to-peer networks, print sharing devices, dtcs, patch panels); and Micro <br />Computers <br />Software: <br />MPEix operating system; HP UT IX; Cognos powerhouse VESoft security; DBGeneral; <br />Novell 3.11 operating system; DOS; Microsoft Office products; Windows 95 and 3.11; <br />I, <br />Internet/Intranet systems <br />Education: <br />Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer <br />science, business or public administration, or a related field. <br />I <br />LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Class "C" driver's license. <br />APPROVED BY COUNCIL: AUGUST 6,1996 <br />2 <br />
