CITY OF COLTON <br />INFORMATION SYSTEMS COORDINATOR <br />DEFINITION <br />Under the direction of the Finance Director, coordinates the operations of all computer systems with all <br />City departments; assists with hardware and software research, analysis, recommendations, <br />documentation, implementation, contracts, maintenance and support. Assists with research, design, <br />implementation and enforcement for all policies and procedures related to hardware and software <br />acquisition and use. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br />Incumbent works independently with supervision from the Finance Director. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: <br />Assist with direct technical support to all department users in the identification of computer hardware <br />and software needs and in the resolution of computer related problems. <br />Assist with research, analysis,acquisition, installation, maintenance and support for new and existing <br />hardware and software to determine impact for the City's current and future needs. <br />Mainframe computer duties: <br />Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting; perform system backups; create, <br />schedule, and execute production batch jobs; assist users with ad hoc reporting. <br />Micro computer duties: <br />Assist users with proper backup procedures, software installations and mainframe database <br />downloading; provide on-going support for GIS system; assist in installation, administration and <br />maintenance of LAN's (Local Area Network); administration and training on applications and <br />networks. <br />Micro and Mainframe computer duties: <br />Provide technical support; perform equipment installations and reassignments; perform/coordinate with <br />vendors for preventative maintenance; and perform equipment installations and reassignments; assist <br />with hardware and software training; document and solve hardware and software incidents; and <br />perform related duties as assigned. <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br />Knowledge of: <br />Current computer related terminology and concepts for research, analysis, design, <br />implementation and support for micro/mainframe hardware and software; principles of <br />inventory documentation and storage for all hardware and software throughout the City. <br />I <br />- <br />
